IELTS Overview
What is IELTS?
The International English Language Testing System (IELTS) is designed to assist you in moving to a country where English is the dominant language in order to work, study, or move. This includes the USA, UK, Canada, New Zealand, Australia, and others.
IELTS is scored on a scale from 1 to 9.
Eligibility: Lower limit is 16 years of age and there is no upper limit.
Ways of taking IELTS test: On paper, or on computer.

Scoring: Test takers receive a score for each test component – Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking. The individual scores are then averaged and rounded to produce an Overall Band Score.
Results: For a computer-delivered test, results are released between 5–7 days, and for a paper-based test, a Test Report Form is posted to test takers 13 days after their test. The scores are valid for a period of 2 years.
Fees: Exam fees for year 2022-2023, applicable from 1st April 2023 is Rs 16,250.
